The Lake Brantley Rowing Association (LBRA) was founded in 1988 by a group of students from Lake Brantley High School who shared a passion for rowing. We are a 501 (c) 3 nonprofit organization created by students for students. Our rowing club is entirely self-supporting, and we own our practice facility and equipment to provide a comprehensive training program.
We aim to empower our members while cultivating leadership and teamwork. At LBRA, we don’t require previous experience to join the team, making us the ideal place to begin your journey into the world of rowing.

"I love being in the boat and on the water with my crew, connecting with each other and enjoying the beauty around me. Because of rowing, I’m not afraid of trying new things and pushing myself."
- High School Rower
Rowing teaches us that influence and leadership do not require a title. The key to success is teamwork and setting an example that everyone wants to follow. When you are out there in the water with your crew, everyone needs to lead in their own way.
The Lake Brantley Rowing Association was founded to inspire Leadership, Devotion, Determination, Teamwork, and a Desire for self-improvement through the sport of rowing. We strive to build character and unlock potential by offering opportunities for instruction, training, and competition for students in Elementary, Middle School, and High School.
At LBRA, we cultivate a sense of community while encouraging our members to challenge themselves and discover what they can achieve by working together. If you are ready to get stronger, wiser, and become a leader (while having a ton of fun along the way), come join the team!
