How it works

Pick a role. We'll plug you in.

LBRA is run by a volunteer board and powered by parent volunteers. You don't need rowing experience — just an hour or two on a Saturday and a willingness to help. Email us with what you'd like to do and we'll match you to a captain who'll get you started.

Race-day setup

Tent up before sunrise, chairs, coolers, the team flag. Two hours before launch and you're done in time to watch the first heat.

Trailer crew

Help load and unload the boat trailer at home and at regattas. Strong backs and willing hands — we'll show you the rest.

Hot meals between heats

Plan, cook, and serve the team meal at the regatta tent. The athletes burn it; you keep the kitchen running.

Pasta party host

Open your house the night before a big regatta — order in for the team, set the tables, send them home fed and on time.

Photographers & videographers

Catch the catch. Race-day shooters, dock photographers, and the people who edit the season highlight reel.

Chaperones & timers

Travel with the team on overnight regattas, or run a stopwatch at home meets. Background check required for travel roles.

Ready to help?

Send us a quick email with what you're interested in and your availability. A parent captain will reach out within a few days to walk you through the next regatta or event you can plug into.
